Process flow for student’s movement to 8th semester in PMMS

Dear Students/Faculty

Please follow below steps for student’s movement from 7th semester to 8th semester in PMMS:

1. Open http://projects.gtu.ac.in/  
2. Login with your 7th semester credentials and you will be redirected to Dashboard screen wherein you will see this message: “This activity has not been allowed”.
3. Please click on “Move to 8th semester” Root Menu (A) as mentioned in below screenshot

5. On Move to 8th semester screen, you will find button namely “Move to 8th semester” (B)
6. Clicking on “Move to 8th semester” button, your semester will be changed from 7th to 8th
7. You will be able to perform 8th semester activities starting from Team Formation.

CASES FOR PROJECTS TEAM FORMATION DURING SEMESTER 8: 

•  Case 1: Old Project with Old Team – Year long project with the same team as of 7th semester.

• Case 2: Old Project with New Team (Individual Project) – If any member is failed, detained or joining any other group.

• Case 3: Old Project with New Team (TEAM PROJECT) – If any member is detained, removed or newer member is been added to the group who was not been present in team during earlier semester.

• Case 4: New Project with Old Team – Same team as of 7th semester is working on newer project during 8th semester

• Case 5: New Project with New Team – If any member is detained, removed or newer member is been added to the group who was not present in team during earlier semester.

Step by step guide for students registration for PMMS

1. The link for PMMS portal is: http://projects.gtu.ac.in/

2. Students needs to register them selves at student registration page: http://projects.gtu.ac.in/_layouts/15/GTUPMMS/ReqForStudentRegistration.aspx 

3. Student needs to register at above link by providing below information:

• Enrollment number, - after filling enrollment number, GTU system will auto fetch the information related to college, department and discipline associated with each student)
• Selecting appropriate semester, 
• Selecting appropriate gender option, 
• Email ID and 
• Re confirming the same email ID one more time (to avoid any typo error in email ID, as password to operate PMMS will be send on this mail ID), 
• Mobile number and 
• Secondary contact no (if any)

4. Once student fills above details and register for the PMMS portal, one email will be send to student on his mail account for his PMMS account request.

5. After student's registration, such request will further goes to respective HOD and/or Principal for student's approval.

6. Respective HOD and Principal has to log in to PMMS portal using their default PMMS account as be_XXX_YY_head@gtu.edu.in and becXXXowner@gtu.edu.in respectively, where in XXX is the college code & YY is department code.

7. Then, Respective HOD and Principal, has to verify the details given  by students in registration phase and has to approve it (if request details founds to be genuine) or else HOD or Principal may reject such requests as well if details are not genuine.

8. Once HOD or Principal will approve any such request, then the password to open PMMS account of any such student will be sent on his/her given mail ID.
